The students of today are the leaders of tomorrow and it is the moral duty of the teachers to guide them and prepare them so that they are able to take up their responsibilities in a better manner. Round Square provides the right kind of platform which makes the students better equipped for their future roles in this rapidly changing world.

Round Square is an international association of about 200 schools across 50 countries, based on the educational philosophy of Kurt Hahn, a German educator. He firmly believed that students could learn better only by experiencing whatever they were learning.

The guiding philosophy of ‘VIDYA VINAY VEERTA’ (Knowledge Valour Humility) put forward by the Founder of YPS – His Highness Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Ji, aims at a holistic development of the students where we challenge them to grow beyond academic excellence. The themes of Round Square popularly known as IDEALS (International Understanding, Democracy, Environment Stewardship, Adventure, Leadership and Service) are an integral part of curriculum at YPS. Adventure activities like trekking, mountaineering, skiing, cycling are the real strength of YPS. Service activities inculcate values of empathy and compassion in our students .International Exchange programmes provide the right platform to our students to step away from their comfort zones and to connect with students from different parts of the world. Our students learn to accept and embrace cultural diversity of the human race.

Round Square member schools share many practical opportunities which equip the students by providing them life changing experiences through their Theme based Conferences, Service Projects and International Exchange Programmes. Whenever our students attend these conferences they come back enriched by the entire experience.

We, at YPS continue to explore new ways to develop deeper understanding of IDEALS among our entire school fraternity. It is very essential for us to see and understand our connection with the world at large.
